Time slips away

Ahha! I bet you guys thought I forgot about my week day challenge till the 20th of Dec....nope, time has just slipped away for me this week. A customer actually ordered one of these soldered watch faces from Bella Colle boutique...
So I thought I'd go on and make a few while I was at it...This week has really been busy and I am so thankful!! The good Lord has blessed me with a sale everyday this week! I want to give Him all the praise for it. On the brink of disappointment..Monday morning I woke up and had my first sale on my very own web site! It was the funniest thing..I didn't even know what to do to retrieve the order.."Oh my gosh...Oh my gosh...Thank you Lord!" Is all you heard from me for an hour till I figured out what to do to print the packing slip and label...write my thank you note...Wed. I actually sold my first few antiques from the store!! My DH and boys look at me half the time and shake their heads..."Are you sure about that?.." Like why in the world I bought that little pink scale..or any of my craziness! "See.." I say... "See..we know you can do it!" they say...Thank you guys!! Thank you to all of you too my dear blog friends!! If I could, I would reach through this monitor and hug your necks!!
Yes, time has slipped away from me this week...It's been a good kind of crazy. I'm glad I have challenged my self with this...but right now, I am sooo glad it's Friday! So, if you will excuse me... I'm gonna sneak in to the den and watch movies with my guys..see, it's movie night..time to just be...
love ya!

Window Bling and Nest!

Hi! Happy Thursday to ya!...I'm a bit frazzled... been tryin' for a half hour now to upload and post this... oh well...not like I'm missin' my favorite show or anything..Only in 'Packerland' would they pre-empt a show for the beloved Packers... I just love CSI Las Vegas! Humf.... no fair....SOOOO here is my post for Window Bling! I found these fab ornaments at Target yesterday, and well, I just have a thing for my windows right now. These windows are original to the house all 107 years!

I have stripped my curtains off and just started putting things on the window ledge.. I love the light that shines through! There are 6 original windows here on the ground floor, for some reason DH and I can't get rid of them..Oh yeah, if you look real close, you can see with this ornament I used a soldered charm I made. I'm thinkin' white for this years colors for Christmas, I'm just in a basic mood lately. So more on our decorations later..I love what Phyllis says about Christmas, to paraphrase: " If we don't get it all decorated, Jesus would have still been born." She is soo right! visit her blog...http://www.shabbyinthecity.blogspot.com/

Sooo... to get to my challenge post..here it is! DH got in on the act...I'm trying to post a new creation every week night till Dec 20th. I have several friends who have requested my nest charms.. one fab friend in particular has requested "7" in a Nana Nest... I think it turned out very nice... we can work a bit more on the wire wrapping. I had my doubts actually if we could make 7 fit.
Not bad... These little charms are soo unique! I have another friend who has ordered 3 for her sisters for Christmas! Moms and Grandmothers in your life will just love the sentiment behind these beautiful charms...
Hope your week has gone well! Hugs to you all!

Tres Chic

Tres Chic I must say! And a Happy Wed. to ya! I just received my new business cards and Thank you notes Hope Wallace just designed for me... she (Hope) has an amazing online store! http://www.paperrelics.com/
I think Hope did an amazing job! Now I match totally! LOL! Boutique...business cards..notes..very nice! Thank you Hope!

Yes, yes! I made something new for today! Tres Chic indeed my dears! This is the first charm that I've ever been able to get the glitter to stay shiny and clear.

This is the reverse of the charm.... Vintage rose paper.. Tres Chic! The sides are a bit too lumpy for my taste, I'll have to go back and redo some other time.. Aannnd..the cropping of the picture.. but in all..I love it!
The beveled glass adds just the right touch! Once again, this one is 1 inch by 1 inch and is offered at $18.00..
If you love it too, just let me know!
Hugs...

I've been cooking!

Well..I've been cookin' , but I don't think you want to eat this!LOL! After much begging and whining from family and friends...I've finally have some soap made! Luxurious...dreamy creamy soap...
I blended the oils to come up with a fabulous scent! I wanted to try something different for a Christmas scent... Anyone ever hear of 'Origins Ginger Souffle' ? That crisp clean scented amazing body souffle? AGGH....I just love it! Well, I was able to come up with a blend quite similar, just right to banish the winter blahs! The notes are; Ginger, nutmeg, cloves, lemon and lime...
My soaps are all natural...Olive oil, Avocado oil, Soy oil, Coconut and Palm...High in Omegas and amazing nutrients for your skin. We have very hard water at White Corners and this blend of oils creates the best creamy lather, imagine what it could do at your house?!
So, if you love this souffle...you love my soap! Even if you've never encountered this fabulous scent...you'll still love it!LOL! The price is 3.50$ for a nice size bar..just send me an email if you'd like some.
Have a happy Monday Evening!

Thanksgiving Wishes

I know it's the day after...but I wanted to make sure we wished you and your family a very Happy Thanksgiving! I pray it was festive and filled with love and good food!
Some families have turkey...some have ham... some eat lots of pie and goodies...some go out to eat and let others do all the cookin'...But no matter how you celebrate it... I hope it was filled with Thankfulness for all of God's provision and mercy and His blessings!

Here are some of my 'turkey'...LOL... As I was making pies...I wasn't paying attention to them, just listening and responding to what they were saying..not looking up because I wanted to keep my place in the recipe I was trying to follow...I glanced up and this is what I saw! I just had to laugh!! Both of them are dressed exactly alike and had the same little grin on their faces... I am soo thankful for my guys!! They really know how to make mom smile!
Well, here is our table.. all dressed up... you probably can't see it, but the little specks are shiny confetti in the shapes of turkey and leaves. What makes it special, is not the fluff..but the fact we are all together and healthy! There are those in our immediate family who aren't that fortunate this Thanksgiving... I lift up a special prayer for you tonight!
Yes, my DH! He is the best! We didn't know if he was going to be able to make it home yesterday...but he did! It wouldn't have been Thanksgiving without him... We have not missed one Thanksgiving in all of our years being married except one and that was when he was in the Army...
The aftermath.... full bellies... happy hearts!
Ahh... #3 caught DH thanking me for dinner.... So, hope yours was fabulous... and filled with love!
hugs.

A little hint... it's below the Mason Dixon line...LOL! It's my beloved hometown.
I had such a refreshing trip! I was able to purchase some neat items for the store as well... This topiary I found at Home Depot, I simply added one of my charms and instant Christmas beauty.

This is one of two fabulous vintage aprons I found. Both aprons are made out of vintage feed sacks. Beautiful way to keep you duds clean and look great while cooking up yummies!

Hi guys!!! I made it...I'm so glad to be back except for this!
Now, I've been happily shopping on ebay for a very looong time now..never had a problem..I guess I'm due.
The above is a copy of an actual listing that I've recently bid on..I'm goin out on a limb sharing my auction details like this, but this had made me soo mad. This man has scammed me I think... I bid on 'New' software! I have several emails where he has given me this song and dance about; first it was a he left the items at his old house, next a fire then the software and box burnt up in it.....but he has the key code! Just go and download a free trial and use the key code he has to open it he says! He is threatening a 'non paying bidder' report! I'm sorry, but I will not hand over 300.00 for a key code!!!
I have emailed ebay..probably wont hear a word. Any suggestions? Help!!
on the lighter side, I had alot of fun on my little trip. I found some amazing items and saw lots of people I love! I know I have lots of lovely blogs to visit to catch up on what you guys have been doing!
hugs.
