Ahha! I bet you guys thought I forgot about my week day challenge till the 20th of Dec....nope, time has just slipped away for me this week. A customer actually ordered one of these soldered watch faces from Bella Colle boutique...
So I thought I'd go on and make a few while I was at it...This week has really been busy and I am so thankful!! The good Lord has blessed me with a sale everyday this week! I want to give Him all the praise for it. On the brink of disappointment..Monday morning I woke up and had my first sale on my very own web site! It was the funniest thing..I didn't even know what to do to retrieve the order.."Oh my gosh...Oh my gosh...Thank you Lord!" Is all you heard from me for an hour till I figured out what to do to print the packing slip and label...write my thank you note...Wed. I actually sold my first few antiques from the store!! My DH and boys look at me half the time and shake their heads..."Are you sure about that?.." Like why in the world I bought that little pink scale..or any of my craziness! "See.." I say... "See..we know you can do it!" they say...Thank you guys!! Thank you to all of you too my dear blog friends!! If I could, I would reach through this monitor and hug your necks!!
Yes, time has slipped away from me this week...It's been a good kind of crazy. I'm glad I have challenged my self with this...but right now, I am sooo glad it's Friday! So, if you will excuse me... I'm gonna sneak in to the den and watch movies with my guys..see, it's movie night..time to just be...
love ya!

Tres Chic
Tres Chic I must say! And a Happy Wed. to ya! I just received my new business cards and Thank you notes Hope Wallace just designed for me... she (Hope) has an amazing online store! http://www.paperrelics.com/
I think Hope did an amazing job! Now I match totally! LOL! Boutique...business cards..notes..very nice! Thank you Hope!
Yes, yes! I made something new for today! Tres Chic indeed my dears! This is the first charm that I've ever been able to get the glitter to stay shiny and clear.
This is the reverse of the charm.... Vintage rose paper.. Tres Chic!
The sides are a bit too lumpy for my taste, I'll have to go back and redo some other time.. Aannnd..the cropping of the picture.. but in all..I love it!
The beveled glass adds just the right touch! Once again, this one is 1 inch by 1 inch and is offered at $18.00..

Little Experiment
Hello! I hope everyone's Monday is going well... I thought I'd try a little experiment. I have read several place that there are some who make the soldered charms, don't use varnish! Okay...I'm thinking I can just see the flux seeping into the picture and making it totally melt.
Sooo, I made two..one with varnish and one with out... the one I put the varnish on is a bit faded and I really didn't feel like foolin' with it! This little lovely is the one without the varnish!!
She is just as clear...not faded and no spots! Here is a peek at the back! shiny shiny!!
So, I learned today that I CAN make some charms without having to use varnish to seal the picture to the glass button. There is nothing like spending sooo much time on a picture you think is going to turn out sooo beautiful and have it fade because of the varnish..
This lovely vintage lady is almost 1 and 1/2" inches in diameter. I think she would make a sweet Christmas tree ornament. What do ya think?
Well, gotta fly!
hugs.

Bonjour!
Bonjour mes amis! Wow...it's amazing what a good night sleep and a little sunshine can do for a person! These flowers I caught this morning while waiting to take the boys to school, the light was just right...a welcome sight after many overcast days.
I actually had time this morning to create some more charms for the store. Each one has a French saying on the back...The joyeaux Noel turned out to be my favorite, it has Red Toile on the back!
The morning sun really is shining here! It makes picture taking soo much easier!lol!
I think Teresa will like these two lovelies at Assemblage, the one on the right has pretty beveled glass on the front.
See, this is the back of the Noel one... very festive.
Well, I'm off! I have a busy day...#3 actually has his first choir concert in a few hours at school..It's a Veteran's day celebration there. Always fun to see the little guys sing!

New Lovelies
Here are two new pieces... This is a soldered charm I just made for a customer! It's 1" in diameter. I think it turned out nice and clear. "Time on my hands" I made by photocopying an old watch face then adding the hour hand myself. Soldering it up and presto a fab vintage watch face! I love diamonds and gold... don't get me wrong..but unique silver jewelry pieces really make me pause....
Here is a new collage I am working on. It's not done, I still have some elements to add. I was just looking how the border turned out and I think I might just have to add it to the piece! 'Home Sweet Home' is what I'm calling it. If the house was a little smaller...it could be ours! What makes a Home to you? Is it the perfect furniture? How about the smell that brings back a fond memory?
At our house, it's obvious to us...us...DH...me...#1...#2...#3...and Shelby...but the thought that we can be ourselves in our home. Uniqueness is what DH and I want to instill in the boys. Stand up for what you believe in! "Uhhmm yeah, there is a God!" "Yes... God has a Son... Jesus..."
Home should be where you can be at peace! Surround yourself with beautiful things that inspire you.. the little things... Like my silly antique door knob picture holders...Or my painted chimney in the master bedroom...(oops, haven't shown ya that yet)...
My point? Take time out and pause...Which I have been guilty of NOT doing lately... My pause right now, my home...Inspiration at it's finest! What is yours?...
Hope everyone is having a great week!
