A little bit of everything

Howdy! Happy Monday to you! This being the last week of Summer and all...did you know Autumn starts next weekend? Well, I thought I'd try 'beer can' chicken...one last BBQ dish before we put the grill away. Anyone ever try it? I know, I know this picture is scary! I put the chickens on...shut the lid and walked inside and #1 came in and said "Mom, are the chickens supposed to be black like that?"....Uhhh...I don't know?!!! This dish can't be that hard.
Yes... That's me trying to figure it out...LOL!!! Anyone ever do 'beer can' chicken? how'd it taste? and what am I missing? #1 said it was good, my hubby ate it with no complaints...#2 and #3 couldn't get passed the 'blackened' part...to me, it didn't have much flavor. But, I always love trying new dishes... and yes! I can cook things in other flavors beside 'charcoal' LOl!!hehehe...
This is my first 'skinny' charm...I'm at a loss for a name.. it's maybe 7/8" in width and 1" in length..
But, I love how it turned out! It will look so nice on a necklace with a small button or other shape. I need to rework the top...but hey, it's 'tres chic'

I'm trying to psych myself up for fall... so I made some fall/Halloween inspired items. I painted this ceramic pumpkin destined for the store.. Because of some of our values...our family doesn't go all out for Halloween but our kids do dress up and get to participate in a 'Harvest Hoot' put on by our church. Its fun...
No...I didn't make this cool crafty crow...but I think he's cute, and I will be putting him and 3 of his brothers in the store...nope, not the Etsy one...my new one...hehehe...
The next buckets I made today... I don't know, you get a crazy thought and you just gotta run with it... what do you guys think? Feathers to much? I might just trim them down a bit..
This one is over the top on feathers! LOL! but these buckets I think would look so cute holding candy... or what ever your heart desires in your little Halloween displays... My hubby came up with a great idea for next year, put reflective tape on larger ones and use them for 'trick or treating!'
Okay... lastly... I just had to put my 'two cents' in... 'Nuff said?! !!LOL!!!!!(no offense...I'm speaking to my family!!!lol)
Catch ya later!

Paula Deen calls that 'beer in the rear chicken'. I had it at someone's house and it was tender...I guess that is what the beer is for.
Love the charms today! A shop, huh? I must go find it...

Love the skinny charm! Really cute. When does the shop officially open?

We call it "drunken chicken". The beer makes it so tender. I coat it with a creole seasoning also. I think you are supposed to grill it at a slow temperature but my husband always manages to make it a blackened chicken too. And I too love that sign and all your fall goodies. ~ Lynn

Oh, Laura, everytime I say I'm going to get the store open...something always happens and I don't get to. I'm waiting for some inventory to arrive and then...maybe I'll be in business!LOL!!
