Hi guys! I hope everyone had a fabulous weekend, I did, lot's of good family time. First off, I'd like to thank everyone who voted in my little poll to pick my new business card design. This is the winner! I tweaked the background and darkened the font and thanks to your help, it turned out very nice.
I received a check for some items that sold in my friend Teresa's shop. Assemblage Studio is the name, and you will find lots of goodies there! http://www.theassemblagestudio.com/about.html I received this note in the envelope...translation, "Thanks Christine!! They are flying out the door!" Teresa.... This really made my heart feel good! I don't really get much of a response on the web and in blogland... 'cept for a few of you fabulous gals. I soo thank you for that! But here in the 'actual' world, folks seem to enjoy and actually want to pay me money for what I've been able to make. I'm thinking maybe I've gone about getting started in business backward, maybe I should have opened a brick and mortar store first AND THEN went to the web... leave it to me to start out with the difficult and make things harder than what they should be.
Two pieces of God's word have been continually in my heart this last week... James 4:6 'But He gives more grace. Therefore He says: "God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble."
I could get angry and resentful because I'm not 'on top of the world' with tons of orders, articles in magazines... I could get doubt full and quit because my stuff isn't flying out the cyber door of my shop... throwing my hands up and quiting isn't an option. The Good Lord reminded me that this week! People really do like the things I create, He has shown me. If I am faith full and thank full in the small victories..I know He will enable me to move on to bigger things!

Yay! Someone likes it and other random stuff
This is a banner that has been sitting in my Etsy shop. Saturday, a lovely lady thought enough of it to buy it! She is just starting out on Etsy...http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=5371070
She makes beautiful glass pendants, I hope you'll stop by and visit her new shop....
The second verse is this Mark 8:36 ' What will it profit a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul?' I know there will be some of you who will say 'Okay, what ever...' but I just wanted to share that through frustration and disappointment if you stick close to Our Lord.. it really is a peace full place. I'd rather have these small affirmations of what I am doing is good from God's hand than be on my own and lose myself!
Have a great Monday!
Hugs.

Puppies,Road trip and more!!
Hi! Whew... we are back from our road trip today... if you click on the pic you can see where our destination was... Barron WI. That is the place of Jerland Farms, our Shelby's breeders. Miss Shelby has been there a week today... Uhm... visiting with Yari.... (wink..wink..)
The leaves are just starting to change here in the North West region of the state... not quite vibrant yet, but a beautiful chorus starting.
It was a bit over cast going up to Barron... but the country side is soo pretty!
Farther north we got, the more colors started popping!
Uh... the Queen at the wheel...LOL!!!
Yes, this...
Is gonna have some of these at Thanksgiving... Shelby looks pooped doesn't she?!LOL!
Yippeee! I got some good news today while drivin' ... Our house came in from this last appraisal exactly and then some more of what we needed to get the mortgage closed... and move on! AAANNNDD.... I've got some exciting news! ... it is taking everything I have NOT to share....
Mummms the word for now... but this will really lend a tiny bit of credibility to me as a artist...boutique owner... I have alot to offer, and this is truly an amazing thing that is coming!!! Hope you all are having a great week!
